Membership Requirements
- Active. Persons with at least one year of legal experience qualify for Active Membership. Upon application and approval by EDCLPA's membership, active members also become members of LSI. In addition to the benefits of EDCLPA, active members receive LSI's publications, as well as discounts on all LSI events, conferences and Regional Seminars.
- Student. Persons training to become a legal professional qualify for student membership. Student member may not vote, nor serve on committees or as officers. They do benefit from the networking and educational opportunities our chapter offers. Student members are allowed to retain the student membership status for up to one (1) year after becoming employed. Upon completion of the required active legal office employment, student members may become full active members.
- Associate. Any person with less than one year of legal experience or enrolled in an academic program involved in legal studies may be admitted to associate membership. Associate members may not vote, nor serve as officers, but may serve on committees.
All applicants are required to submit an application along with the membership dues of $40 per fiscal year before they can be recommended and accepted for membership.
FISCAL YEAR: Our fiscal is from May 1 to April 30.
